NexCal Privacy Policy
NexCal is a local-first calendar for events, tasks, and reminders. It uses Android notification and alarm capabilities for alerts, but NextEra.One does not collect your calendar items or schedule on a server.
Events, tasks, reminders, calendar details, and display settings stay on your device by default.
NexCal does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs or sell personal and sensitive user data.
Calendar data leaves NexCal only when you choose to export or share it with another app or service.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the NexCal Android app and the public NexCal product pages operated by NextEra.One. It is written to explain how the app accesses, uses, stores and shares user data for Google Play review and for people using the app.
NexCal does not require a NextEra.One account. If that changes, this policy will be updated before account features are released.
2. Data NexCal accesses or stores on your device
NexCal accesses data only for the features users would expect from this app.

3. Data collected by NextEra.One
NextEra.One does not operate an account service, analytics backend, advertising backend or sync backend for NexCal. NexCal does not upload your calendar items to NextEra.One.
The public website may receive ordinary web request information, such as IP address, browser type, and requested page, through its hosting provider. The marketing pages also load fonts, icons, styles, and scripts from Google Fonts and jsDelivr, so those providers may receive ordinary request information under their own privacy policies. The Android app does not load these marketing-page resources or send your NexCal calendar data to this website.
4. Data sharing and user-initiated transfers
NexCal does not sell personal and sensitive user data. Calendar data can leave NexCal in these user-initiated or device-local cases:
- Reminders are shown as Android notifications on your device. Their visibility can also depend on your Android lock-screen settings.
- When you export an ICS file, Android saves or shares it only with the location or app you select.
- When you import an ICS file, NexCal reads the file you select and stores the imported calendar items locally.
- If you share calendar details with another app, that app handles the shared content under its own policy.
- Another Nex app can send content to NexCal to prefill an event, task, or reminder; you review it before saving.
- If you install or open NexCal through Google Play, Google processes Play Store data under Google's policies.
5. Permissions
NexCal asks for Android permissions only when needed for its features.
- Notifications: show reminder notifications for your events
- Exact alarms: deliver user-created reminders at the selected time when exact-alarm access is available; Android may deliver them less precisely when it is unavailable
- Run after restart: reschedule pending reminders so they still fire after the device reboots
- Vibration: vibrate the device when a reminder is due
- Internet access: support user-requested web destinations provided by the Android app shell; NexCal does not use this permission to upload calendar data to a NextEra.One server
6. Retention and deletion
- Your events, tasks, and reminders remain in NexCal's local store until you delete them or clear the app's storage.
- Local settings remain on device until you change them or uninstall the app.
- NextEra.One cannot recover deleted local data because it is not synced to a NextEra.One server.
- ICS files you export remain wherever you save or share them and must be deleted from that destination separately.
- You can also use Android Settings > Apps > NexCal > Storage > Clear storage to remove local app data.
7. Security
NexCal relies on Android runtime permissions, Android app sandboxing and local device storage. Because NexCal does not run a cloud sync service, there is no NextEra.One server copy of your calendar items. NexCal does not separately promise end-to-end encryption of its local database; device access and backup protection depend on your Android device and system settings. Anything you export or share into another app is governed by the destination provider's practices.
8. Children
NexCal is not directed to children. It is a general-purpose tool intended for users who are allowed to manage their own content on their Android device.
9. Changes and contact
NextEra.One may update this policy when NexCal changes how it handles data. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
